flop small :: Bet Big

Woke up this morning with the intention of going to the dentist for a teeth cleaning and then a vigorous day at the office. Instead, while I was shaving, I started vomitting violently! I think I managed to dump it all in the sink (at least, that’s the story I’m telling my wife).

I have no idea where it came from seems how I didn’t eat much of anything last night - or yesterday at all for that matter. It had a wonderful chocolaty consitency that I can only attribute to the brownies I ate last night. Clearly, my wife is looking to get her hands on my enormous bankroll. Don’t you love that feeling when you have bile crammed in your sinuses?

I thought this hand was mildly interesting. I think a lot of people who play NL regularly would play this hand differently at a short-handed limit table. It also looks like when I updated my software that the suit icons were taken out. I’ll fix this soon. (more…)

I’m back down to 10/20 after last night. I probably played 150 hands at the 15/30 re-enacting my best yo-yo impersonation. The 10/20 table I was at was probably the softest table I had been at in a long time. The table as a whole was 50% flops seen and only 10% pre-flop raises. Four juicy seats sat at this table. They were 50/2, 50/12, 42/11 and 41/11 for their pre-flop stats.

Naturally, the poker gods chose this time to completely cold deck me. I was 24/16 including some 3-way and HU action. Ugh.

I’m getting ready to install two plugins to my Wordpress software that will hopefully keep me from having to deal with a daily moderation queue of spam. I don’t know how fascist these plug-ins are, so if you notice any problems at all send me an e-mail (located at the bottom of the page).
