Sorry guys, but even with the spam filter it’s just easier to require posters to have an active account and be logged in to post comments. The spam filter was catching hundreds of articles of spam every day and having to sift through that to make sure legitimate comments were not getting shredded just wasn’t worth the effort.

Last week was pretty much non-stop losing. By the time I arrived at my weekly NL game, I pretty much showed up with the attitude of I’m probably going to lose another $1k. Turns out it was a self-fullfilling prophecy. (more…)

No limit hold’em is a tough topic to tackle. There’s almost no good literature on the subject. What little does exist out there is generally of the “see this situation, do this action” variety. The authors of this new book from Two Plus Two Publishing David Sklansky and Ed Miller come right out and tell you up front that no limit poker is too deep a game to give you a fool-proof playbook. There are too many skills that come into play and their book can’t help you with them all. But, what they do attempt to do with fantastic success is lay a foundation of understanding of what is going on at a no limit table. (more…)

I haven’t been back to LV since January. Rediculous. Well, the WSOP will be going on in August and I’ll be there. I’m booked for August 3rd to August 7th. It’s time to send my poker roll into oblivion or vault into the next set of limits.
