The ole cold-call trick.

I’m not big on cold-calling to be frank. Usually, you’re better off either folding or raising if there’s a bet and a raise in front of you. Here’s a pretty rare opportunity that made sense to cold call.

in middle position and call a PF raise to 13, the BB comes along. 3 players to the flop.

Changing plans.

This is something I wrestle with quite a bit. We all do, but I’m famous for jumping to conclusions and it gets me in these situations. When I play a hand and form a plan based on my read on a given street, it’s smart to not get too married to my original plan. New cards often change the entire outlook of a hand. Flight is booked.

Changed my dates to 25-28 since I’ll be in the middle of a software release. The room rates at the Rio are decent, waiting for an email from Rick for a deal he has through the Wynn. It’s nice to go upstairs and crash, but the Wynn is the Wynn baby!
